Sr. Process Improvement Engineer

Position Overview

To help manage Process Improvement at the facility.


  • Performs all duties using safe work methods. Responsible for plant quarterly product cost approvals.

  • Responsible for creating the plant’s annual budget.

  • Provides reports, trends, and information in support of production management. Work with managers to improve manufacturing processes through efficiency improvements, safety, and quality.

  • Conducts monthly review of labor reports to ensure associates are allocated properly, makes recommendations for changes and ensures changes are made. Maintains the Plant Flash Report and data integrity within.

  • Responsible for the operation of the plant’s supply room.

  • Conduct time studies as needed in the various manufacturing areas.

  • Completes and updates the plant SUMM2 scorecard.

  • System Administrator for USF, Cycle-Live and other necessary reporting systems. Serve as the Process Improvement Committee chairperson.

  • Works with the production management department to ensure that product specifications are valid and accurate.

  • Participates in internal audits as well as inventory cycle counts as necessary. Perform duties and special projects as assigned by the Process Improvement Manager and Plant Manager.

  • Participates in various meetings such as QIT, SLO/Safety Steering, Ergonomic, and Awareness Committee Meetings.

  • Writes and updates SMS procedures for area of responsibility.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent field

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills


  • Previous manufacturing experience

  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred​

8 hour, day shift
