The role is to lead Global Supply Chain Nerve Center, which is part of the Global Production Planning organization. The role involves orchestrating end to end global supply chain ensuring seamless operations and a superior customer experience. The role requires a high blend of operational, tactical, analytical and strategic focus.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Define and operationalize key metrics to measure and maintain sound health of the end to end supply chain.

  • Set goals for key supply chain metrics based on strategic business needs and process capability.

  • Plan the key operational attributes like ships and backlog and ensure that the business objectives like financial performance and market share are met.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams within the end to end supply chain across the globe to ensure stable operations and to drive process improvements.

  • Orchestrate end to end supply chain operations through governance forums like Global Pulse call.

  • Plan events like holidays, factory closures and IT downtimes to ensure minimal business impact.

  • Coordinate projection and execution of IDC and EOQ.

  • Define and lead the data, Business Intelligence and Analytics strategy for the organization and drive business improvements through application of advanced analytics.

  • Monitor the business performance and share insights with senior leadership team.

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the group.

  • Lead global projects that will have impact across the end to end supply chain.

  • Direct technical/IT teams in developing solutions to business projects and problems.

  • Provide direction on departmental budgetary activities in accordance with overall corporate budget programs.

  • Provide inspirational leadership to team members and guide them on their development.


  • Expert understanding of end to end supply chain. Expert knowledge of planning and forecasting techniques. Clearly understands Dell's short and long-term business goals and objectives and ability to align group direction with those objectives.

  • Demonstrated expert people management and command skills. Ability to lead large organizations and lower-level leaders.

  • Expert ability to design and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables.

Education and Experience:

  • 14+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience, preferably in supply chain domain in a large organization.

  • At least 3 years of experience as people manager
